Time of a demo download is displayed as well as for what system the download was for
List of main features show before update
Background downloading during movies
Ps2/Ps1 games now look better[UNCONFIRMED]
Guitar Hero I works(without whammy bar)... II doesn't

Yeah... the thing was out half an hour ago on the US and JP PlayStation Network. O: Nothing is on the EU PSN yet, it seems.

Ohh... so they just added PS1 downloadable titles support for the PS3. :) Oh well... it's still nice!

I don't know whether to be overcome with joy, or feel disappointed...mixed feelings right now.

I just got back from the Home Beta Signup page. Nothing new on there... so... it seems that this update is mostly for the PS1 titles.

From where?

Home won't be officially added until October. Right now its still in closed-beta

It's official... the 1.70 update fixes the 1080i problem of Gran Turismo 4! O: Yeeaaahhh! In fact, it makes the game looks way smoother and nicer... for some reason? Mmm... if you have any other game, check them out!

huh? my tv is 1080i on ps3 and i ran GT and didn't notice anything...

Umm... the 1080i option of GT4 was kind of broken on the PS3 before... it would produce blocky images beyond imagination. :/
